Let the fabric dry all the way through

A cushion can feel dry on top while moisture remains at seams or underneath. Set aside enough time between cleaning and treatment, and check the forecast for rain and overnight dew. A dry work area is part of the treatment, not an optional finishing touch.

THE FINISHING DETAILS

Water repellency has a specific job

Water beading helps you recognize surface repellency, but it does not prove that seams are watertight or that a damaged cover has been repaired. Check the fabric, stitching and fit separately. Keep normal cleaning and storage habits in place after treatment.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Good care, step by step.

Read the current bottle label and spot-test an inconspicuous area. The surface maker’s instructions take priority.

Clean and fully dry the fabric. Choose a ventilated outdoor area above 70°F.
Protect surrounding materials and apply evenly as directed on the bottle.
Keep the fabric dry and unused while it cures. Current manufacturer directions specify 12 to 24 hours; follow your bottle.

Suitable materials

Compatible outdoor cushions, upholstery and canvas. Follow the fabric manufacturer's care guidance and test first.

Important limits

Not for indoor upholstery, car interiors, carpet, vinyl or clear plastic. It does not repair seams or add direct UV protection. Keep away from flames and ignition sources.
